The Fisherman and the Jinni
The Fisherman and the Jinni is a beautiful fairy tail told as a part of the famous folk tales collection - ''One Thousand and One Nights'', reflecting the Islamic golden age. This story combines the characteristics of the magical night stories which passed within cultures as they were initially told verbally by storytellers. The plot acts as a maze or a long corridor, as it starts with one story then develops into a different one. The book starts with a strange meeting between a poor fisherman and a Jinni that wishes to kill him, then the reader is led through this imaginary maze to a second story named The Ensorcelled Prince.
